My cheeks flushed with embarassment, when I, a Newfoundland housewife, opened the vegetable drawer of my fridge, and found only one old carrot.
It had sprouted tiny white roots, and small yellowish leaves.
However, I redeemed myself. I trimmed the end of the carrot and placed it in water, before planting it in a small pot of soil and placing it on a sunny windowsill.
Now, I have a lovely new houseplant ! Surely, all things work together for good for those who love God. (Romans 8 :28)
I love this! I have a bad habit of forgetting about my vegetables so we have done something similar with our potatoes (taken them outside and planted them in our garden).
